Forget Lemonade feud against Jigga, Beyoncé and Jay Z’s secret joint album is reportedly complete. After years of rumours, Page Six reports that the highly anticipated album is now finished.
According to the report, the effort is slated to drop as a TIDAL exclusive ‘very soon.’ An insider said that it’s the couple’s way of addressing rumours concerning their marriage. ‘Jay and Beyoncé were never going to do an interview to address all the questions that came up after LEMONADE,’ the source explained. ‘It’s more their style to respond through music.’
Although there has yet to be official confirmation from Queen Bey or Hova, talks surrounding this effort have been around since at least 2014, when DJ Skee said that it was on the way.
‘Beyoncé and Jay Z are actually doing something together this year’
In February of this year, producer Detail – who worked with Jay and Bey on ‘Drunk in Love’ – also revealed that the project was being crafted. ‘I’m working with a couple of new projects that I don’t want to unveil, and then me and Beyoncé and Jay Z are actually doing something together this year,’ he said. ‘When you think of Jay and Bey together, you think ‘album.’ You should already know.’
The couple has previously collaborated on a slew of tracks, including ‘Bonnie & Clyde,’ ‘Crazy in Love,’ and ‘Upgrade U.’
